Street Samaritans strives to provide human connection and grassroots outreach to those less fortunate living without shelter and means to thrive. At Street Samaritans, we gather as a social community of volunteers to connect communities through charitable giving, raising awareness of the realities of homelessness, and serving those in need.

Street Samaritans is a Chicagoland-based 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit organization that focuses on direct impact through:

• Human connection with the homeless through street team outreach
• Educating the general public on causes and true nature of homelessness, as well as fostering good social citizenship and public stewardship
• Promoting awareness of independent outreach in our communities
• Collecting essential items, such as food, toiletries and clothing for street teams to hand deliver
• Bringing volunteers together to connect and generate new ideas on alleviating homelessness
• Organizing care package drives and social events to fundraise for the homeless cause
• Partnering with adjacent nonprofit organizations to extend reach and deliver impact more effectively with joint hands
• Collecting critical data on homeless’ demographics and backgrounds
• Partnering with local businesses to drive community involvement and collaboration
• Developing innovative programs to bring lasting change in alleviating homelessness
